Niord double cylinder donut (360°) wing with 56 lbs of maximum positive buoyancy.
The Niord double cylinder wing (56 lbs) is made of rugged, nylon coated, cordura. It is a very strong and hard-wearing fabric. It is also easy to keep clean. The design and cut reflect our philosophy of diving; the wing is simple, hard-wearing and provides superior in-water performance.
The pattern is carefully adjusted to enhance balance for near effortless trim while diving. Every detail has been scrutinized to give you, the diver, maximum comfort during diving.
Seams and stitching: to further enhance the strength of the outer shell the pattern pieces are sewn together, then folded, and sewn once again to prevent seams tearing.
Over pressure relief valve: the position of the OPRV has been chosen to effectively release gas and to be easy to reach when pull-dumping.
Dumping: the OPRV is equipped with a piece of knotted 3 mm dinghy line for convenient dumping of excess gas while minimizing risk of snagging or entanglement.
Drainage: two eyelets are placed on either side/bottom of the wing to facilitate drainage when exiting the water. The eyelets are 15 mm in diameter and are made of coated brass.
Fit: the design of the Niord wing makes perfect room for the backplate (Agir stainless steel or aluminium). The backplate will rest on three layers of cordura and the contours are double stitched, providing fit and protection from squeeze and wear.
Trim: The Niord wing is furnished with optional holes enabling the wing to be placed in two positions (high or low) to adjust diver trim.
